SUBSTANCE: method for producing a biological reference material for producing standard blood composition samples containing a toxic metal, involves administering at least one toxic metal in the form of its water-soluble salt into an animal's body, sampling the animal's blood after the toxic metal test, as well as freezing the sampled blood and lyophilising it. The toxic metal is administered into the animal's body in the form of the water-soluble salt parenterally by injections of an aqueous solution containing water-soluble mercury salt, or water-soluble cadmium salt, or water-soluble lead salt, or an aqueous solution containing water-soluble mercury salt, water-soluble cadmium salt and water-soluble lead salt into the animal. The group of inventions also refers to a biological reference material prepared by the above method.
EFFECT: fast controlled accumulation of the above toxic metals in the animal's blood that enables producing the reference materials applicable for producing standard blood samples containing mercury, cadmium and lead.
