FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: at level control that includes measuring of the mortar surface range from electromagnetic receiving and emitting sensor, which probing beam is directed in parallel to the axial line of a tank, auxiliary sensor similar to the main one is used. At that probing beams of both sensors are placed in the same plane symmetrically to the tank axial line and true range value is calculated as per the specified formula.
EFFECT: improved accuracy control for level of mortar grouts in tanks of movable averaging installations with axial stirrers.
