FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: bone is fixed in a clamp stand horizontally. A mechanical or electronic levelling angle meter is used to measure epiphysis inclinations in relation to a horizontal plane. A difference of distal and proximal epiphysis inclinations is calculated thereby deriving a torsion angle of the bone.
EFFECT: method enables the simple, assessable and fast measurement of torsion angles of long bones by fixing the bone adequately and pre-measuring the epiphysis inclinations to the horizontal plane.
