FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of extracting copper (+2) from spent solutions relates to industrial ecology an to chemical engineering of organic substances. The method can be used to recycle liquid production wastes, particularly spent solutions from anodic oxidation of aluminium and alloys thereof, spent solutions from copper plating, spent solutions from etching copper and alloys thereof and spent solutions from etching printed-circuit boards. The method includes mixing a spent solution containing copper (+2) and a spent solution from anodic oxidation of aluminium and alloys thereof, precipitating copper (+2) in form of copper oxalate, separating the precipitate and the solution.
EFFECT: low cost of producing a pure chemical product used to produce high-temperature superconductors, copper metal powder and copper nanoparticles, in production of catalysts for synthesis of inorganic and organic compounds and copper coatings.
