FIELD: ecology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industrial ecology and can be used for utilization of liquid waste products of plating industry. Method for utilizing a spent solution of anodic oxidation of aluminum and its alloys involves mixing said solution with a reagent, forming a precipitate and separating it from the solution. Spent solution of anodic oxidation of aluminum and its alloys contains aluminum (+3), oxalic acid and optionally sulfuric acid as the main components. As a reagent, waste from the production of nickel platings is used – the spent nickel plating solution. In this case, waste solutions of chemical nickel plating, galvanic nickel plating or a mixture thereof can be used.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to utilize spent solutions to produce a commercial product – nickel oxalate dihydrate and to reduce the costs of environmental protection.
