FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for decontamination of spent solutions of anodic oxidation of aluminum and its alloys, involving mixing of spent solution of anodic oxidation of aluminum and its alloys, containing aluminum (+3) and oxalate ions as main components, with reagent and holding the formed reaction solution for a time sufficient to remove oxalate ions from the reaction solution. Method is characterized by that the reactant used is spent chromium (+6) containing coating production solution, and removal of oxalate ions from the reaction solution is achieved by its oxidation to carbon dioxide.
EFFECT: method enables recycling chromium (+6) containing solutions.
