SUBSTANCE: invention discloses the video signal video processing device. Claimed device comprises the receiver of video signal including video data composed of either 3D video content formatted in compliance with 3D format or 2D video content formatted in compliance with 2D format. Note here that 3D format includes at least two subframes 3D to make one 3D frame and makes one format of the set of possible 3D formats. Video device incorporates also the processor to get 3D state signal which specifies the video signal format. Besides, said processor defines the attributes of formats for some possible 3D formats by processing the video data in compliance with preset format characteristics to get and to compare the appropriate 3D subframes.
EFFECT: automated changeover between 3D and 2D formats by evaluation of format attributes via comparison of 3D subframes with preset threshold value.
