SUBSTANCE: 3D source device is provided to provide a three-dimensional video signal for transmission to a destination 3D device. And the 3D video signal contains the first video information representing the left view on the 3D display, the second video information representing the right view on the 3D display. The 3D destination device comprises a receiver for receiving a 3D video signal, a target depth processor for providing a depth map of the target to enable deformation of views for the 3D display, configured to adapt the address depth or deformation map depending on the depth signaling data, taking into account the possibilities of the 3D display.
EFFECT: improving the quality of the three-dimensional video visualization due to the inclusion of depth signaling data in a three-dimensional signal.
