METHOD FOR ASSESSING EFFECTIVENESS OF LYMPHOCYTE PROTECTION AGAINST APOPTOSIS Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC G01N33/52

Abstract RU 2568886 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves lymphocyte recovery, cell incubation for 48 hours at temperature 37°C with 5% CO2, lymphocyte viability quantitation based on trypan blue inclusions and biochemical lymphocyte lysate test for the recovered and oxidized glutathione concentration after 30-minute pre-incubation with 2-vinylpyridine 10 mmole. Additionally, the incubation medium containing lymphocytes is added with 1,4-dithioerythritol and ascorbic acid in the final concentrations of 3.0 mmole and 0.1 mmoles respectively. The protection is considered to be low-effective if observing protein-bound glutathione increased by 18%-35% and oxidised glutathione increased by 25-41%. Protein-bound glutathione increased by 36% and more and recovered glutathione increased by 42% show the high-effective protection.

EFFECT: using the presented method enables stating the anti-apoptotic cell protection; the method is easy to implement and interpret the obtained results.
