SUBSTANCE: method of generating high-frequency signals is based on converting energy of a dc voltage source into the energy of a high-frequency signal; interaction of the high-frequency signal with a forward transmission circuit consisting of a three-terminal nonlinear element and a reactive four-terminal element, a load and an external feedback circuit; on satisfying excitation conditions which respectively determine the amplitude and frequency of the generated high-frequency signals, conditions of matching the forward transmission circuit with the load and conditions of matching the load with the three-terminal nonlinear element; wherein the load is in the form of a first two-terminal element with complex impedance, the external feedback circuit used is an arbitrary four-terminal element and parameter values of the reactive four-terminal element are selected in accordance with given mathematical expressions.

EFFECT: wider range of generated oscillations, generation of high-frequency signals at a given number of frequencies with arbitrary load impedances.
