FIELD: radio engineering and communication; radar and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: method for generation and frequency modulation of high-frequency signals is characterised by that four-terminal element is resistive, external feedback circuit used is arbitrary four-terminal element, in parallel connected to tripolar nonlinear element with feedback circuit is included as single unit cascade between output of resistive four-terminal element and load. Load is made in form of bipole with complex resistance, to input of resistive four-terminal element in transverse circuit is connected second bipole with complex resistance, excitation conditions and matching conditions are made at quasi-linear dependence of generation frequency of amplitude of control signal due to selection of frequency dependencies of imaginary components of resistance of signal source.

EFFECT: technical result of invention consists in increase of linear section of frequency modulation characteristic at arbitrary characteristics of nonlinear element, external feedback circuit and parameters of resistive four-terminal element.
