FIELD: radio engineering and communication; radar and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: method for generation and frequency modulation of high-frequency signals is characterised by that four-terminal element is resistive, external feedback circuit used is arbitrary four-terminal element connected to tripolar nonlinear element in parallel-series, three-terminal nonlinear element and feedback circuit as integral unit cascade included between output of resistive four-terminal element and load, load is made in form of a first bipole with complex resistance, to input of the resistive four-terminal element in transverse circuit is connected second bipole with complex resistance imitating signal source resistance of generator in amplification mode, excitation conditions in form of amplitude and phase balance and matching conditions are made at quasi-linear dependence of generation frequency of amplitude of control signal.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increase of linear section of frequency modulation characteristic at arbitrary characteristics of nonlinear element, external feedback circuit and parameters of resistive four-terminal element.
