FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: in a body (1) of a viscosimeter there is a heater (2) installed, heat insulated from outside with a cylindrical cavity (5), where a cylindrical sleeve (6) is placed, installed on a platform (7), for investigated liquid. A temperature sensor 9 is submerged into the sleeve 6, being installed on a stand 8, to monitor temperature of tested liquid, and a sensitive element 10 is placed, which is installed on a yoke 11, equipped with an electromagnetic drive 12. At the same time the yoke 11 is installed on the axis of the electromagnetic drive with the possibility of rotation relative to the axis, and the sensitive element 10 is made in the form of a ball from polymer material, and is fixed on a rod 13, arranged on the working arm of the yoke with the possibility of movement in the sleeve with tested liquid. On the other arm of the yoke there is a counterbalance 14 fixed, providing for free movement of the ball in tested liquid at specified temperatures. Rotation of the yoke 11 is limited by upper 15 and lower 16 stops, fixed on the panel 17 and preventing ball release from liquid medium and contact of the ball with sleeve 6 bottom. In the middle part of the yoke there is a screen 18, interacting with a light diode 19 and a photodetector 20 installed on a panel 17, with the possibility of closing the light flux from the light diode to the photodetector as the yoke moves with the screen. At the same time the light diode 19 and the photodetector 20 are optically connected with a screen 18 to ensure setting of permanent depth of ball 10 movement in the tested liquid and registration of time of its movement from upper position that characterises viscosity of tested liquid. To control process of viscosity measurement, the temperature sensor 9 is electrically connected to the unit of testing temperature setting and measurement 22, equipped with a temperature switch, the light diode 19 and the photodetector 20 are connected to the unit of sensitive element movement control, measurement of viscosity and its registration 23, and the electromagnetic drive 12 is connected to the its control unit 24. Specified units 22, 23 and 24 are connected to a power supply unit 25 and create a system of automatic control of viscosity measurement process.

EFFECT: detection of viscosity of liquid media under different temperatures, increased accuracy of measurements and automation of measurement process and design simplification.
