FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: claimed process comprises the preparation of the mix of nano-sized powders of tungsten and cobalt carbides, it compaction in a steel mould and sintering in vacuum. Note here that prior to compacting, 2-15 vol % of ethanol is added to the mix of nano-sized powders while compaction is performed at 2000 kgf/cm2.

EFFECT: reduced pressure of compaction higher quality of sintered articles.
