FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of hard alloy WC-Co. Proposed method comprises pressing of plasticized tungsten-cobalt powder mixture, distillation of plasticizer from obtained billet and its liquid-phase sintering. Tungsten-cobalt plasticized powder mixture coarse-grained with grain size from 3 to 20 mcm is used. Compression is carried out at low isostatic pressure from 0.2 to 0.4 GPa, after distillation of plasticizer, billet is pressed at high isostatic pressure from 0.8 to 1.5 GPa, and liquid-phase sintering of billet is performed during 20–30 minutes.

EFFECT: obtaining hard alloy with high strength and unique ductility (up to 7–9 %) during compression.
