FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method for automated mapping of road accident includes photographing and transmitting images of the road accident to a computer; processing information for constructing, on a paper medium, a topographic image of the plan of the road accident site and the surrounding environment with all available objects and traces detected during investigative inspection. Photographing and transmission of images of the road accident to a computer are carried out using a photocopter equipped with a photographic camera and gyroscopes for image stabilisation, as well as a device for transmitting photographic images to a portable computer with software for processing an image for mapping a road accident.
EFFECT: more efficient road traffic.
