FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for selection of optimum grinding conditions. For this, express-control over grinding conditions is performed by part machining, said part being secured at positioning table displacing in lengthwise, crosswise and vertical directions with the help of optical device objective lens. Part is machined by grinding tool composed of single grains in organic binder arranged holder-indenter fitted on the wheel cylindrical surface fitted on the shaft. Note here that stroboscopic illumination of grinding tool is performed at illuminator flash frequency timed with shaft rpm. Single grain conical cutting part is projected onto the screen and compared with the image of the cone outer outlines at initial position before contact with the part and final position defined by preset angle of single grain turn in organic binder, smaller than that its removal therefrom. Optimum cutting conditions are selected by largest time required for single grain cone outer outline to reach the final position.
EFFECT: enhanced grinding performances, accelerated selection of optimum conditions.
