SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to tools used to assess a regurgitation flow. A system comprises an ultrasonic sensor comprising a transducer matrix, an image processor, a Doppler processor, a flow evaluation processor configured to create a model of flow field by a regurgitation flow location and a display unit. The method involves the stages of imaging the regurgitation flow location, creating the model of flow field, measuring a blood velocity by Doppler ultrasound, comparing approximated flow velocities derived from the model, correcting a model parameter, and displaying the regurgitation flow location.
EFFECT: invention enables improving the accuracy of regurgitant valve opening location.
