FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to means of diagnostic ultrasonic imaging. Lattice of capacitive micromachine ultrasonic transducers (CMUT) for ultrasonic imaging catheters comprises a first column of spaced-apart CMUT cells on at least one silicon island, a second column of spaced-apart CMUT cells on at least one more silicon island, wherein second column is arranged in staggered order with respect to first column so that second column cells are partially arranged in spaces between successive cells of first column, wherein first column and second column are separated by a gap, flexible foil holding corresponding silicon islets, wherein flexible foil comprises conductive interconnections, and the flexible foil is a structured foil comprising flexible bridges, wherein each flexible bridge comprises a conductive interconnection and extends along a gap between adjacent silicon islands. Catheter comprises an outer tubular sheath and a CMUT transducer array wrapped around the outer tubular sheath so that the respective array rows extend in the direction of the length of the catheter. Ultrasonic imaging system comprises a patient interface module and a catheter.
EFFECT: use of inventions improves imaging with the CMUT array.
