FIELD: ecology.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises taking leaves from the accounting birch trees growing in equal environmental habitat conditions, at that all the leaves collected for one sample should be placed in a plastic bag. The readings are taken from each leaf on five parameters of a leaf from the left and right sides of the leaf, that is, on 10 factors. According to the measured parameters the factor analysis of binary relations is carried out on both sides of each leaf, and those factorial relationships are determined that get the correlation coefficient as measures of neighbouring relationship between the factors of at least 0.7. For the environmental assessment the criteria of factor analysis of binary relations between the factors of measured test leaves are taken. Comparison of different pollution at various sites of growth of birch leaves is carried out according to the following criteria: the percentage of damaged leaves, the coefficient of correlative variation of population of test leaves, the number of binary patterns with a high correlation coefficient, and in case of increase in percentage of damaged leaves, reduction of the coefficient of correlative variation of population of test leaves and reduction of the number of binary patterns with a high correlation coefficient with respect to the clean habitat the air pollution is determined.
EFFECT: improvement of accuracy of assessment.
