FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of examination of woody plants. Essence: substrate with a white surface is laid underarm on the measured sheet, and atop - transparent palette for cartographic measurements. At that, the longitudinal axis of the plant leaf is combined with one of the palette grid lines. Then the sheet is photographed through the transparent palette with the grid, and the image is placed in computer memory. Parameters of leaf are measured by meshes of the palette grid on the magnified image of the sheet. Herewith, accountable birch tree is selected on the side of the automobile road with heavy traffic. Distance from the middle of the root collar to the curb edge located from the side of the road is measured perpendicularly to the road. Local zones are recovered on hanging branches approximately at cardinal points in the tree canopy on convenient for measuring height. Herewith, a group of at least five accountable leaves, each of which is registered with a mark, is selected on each birch hanging branch. Distance from the vertical axis of tree stem located in the middle of the root collar, to approximate center of each of four local zones on hanging branches is measured. Heights are measured in a group of accountable leaves from the soil surface. Distance from the road to vertical line in each group of accountable leaves on hanging branches is measured. Multi-factor influence patterns of location height above the soil surface of accountable leaf are detected by statistical modelling, distance from the road on change of four parameters of accountable leaves in the form of leaf length and width, perimeter and square of the leaf.
