FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: laser device for generating and/or converting laser radiation employs a laminar optical element in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped, having input and output windows. Converted radiation is directed towards the laminar element such that after refraction on the surface of the input window, it travels to the output window having been repeatedly reflected from the lateral faces at an angle which depends on the actual linear dimensions of the laminar element according to the formula α=arctg(Am/Bk), where α is the projection of the angle of reflection of optical radiation from the longitudinal lateral face on a plane parallel to the wide face, A, B are the actual longitudinal and transverse dimensions of said element, m and k are coprime integers, wherein k is equal to the number of times the beam crosses the longitudinal axial line of the laminar element, and m is equal to the number of times the beam crosses the transverse axial line of said element.
EFFECT: reducing the impact of errors of linear dimensions of the laminar element on the position of the output beam.
