FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: aqueous solution of dextran is oxidised with potassium permanganate in an acid medium when heated. Impurities are removed by separating fluid from a deposit formed at the stage of dextran oxidation. Ethanol deposition is performed by adding an aqueous solution of oxidised dextran in ethanol pre-filled in a deposition container with a tray at the bottom. Oxidised dextran deposit is dried in the above tray.
EFFECT: method enables simplifying and facilitating the process of oxidised dextran recovery from an aqueous-alcoholic solution, reducing the production cost and simplifying product delivery to a drying box.
