FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: safe use of the vehicle seat at emergent braking consists in automatic release of the seat from its fully locked state. Then, the seat is overturned back around the pivoted mount fitted in the body cabin and, again, locked at the position with horizontally directed backrest directly at braking. The seat is released with the breakage of locking links and turned over by application of torque to said pivoted mount developed by resultant forces of inertia originating at emergent braking of the elements of unbalanced dynamic system "seat-user". The seat pivoted mount is arranged at the backrest upper part with adjustable amount of excess of mount height over vertical coordinate of the centre of masses of said "seat-user" system.
EFFECT: higher safety at emergent braking, simplified process.
