FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: damper consists of a sealed body coupled to the line wires and filled with electro- or magneto-rheological fluid, which dispersed phase is represented by suspensions of nanosize electrically or magnetically sensitive particles, damping unit and sources of electric and magnetic fields. The damping unit is made as piston-like disc 1 capable of circular rotation at wire oscillation due to inertia and at that making fluid 7 flowing through the sealed channel 6. Damping for wires of overhead transmission lines is carried out by gravity and inertia, and electric and magnetic fields generated by sources 8, 18 impact fluid 7, 13 locally thus increasing its viscosity and flow resistance force.
EFFECT: process of control for the damper oscillating frequency and increased efficiency of the damper operation.
