FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of power engineering, namely to vibration dampers for protection of wires, lightning protection cables, self-supporting optical cables of overhead transmission lines and communication lines. Damper comprises housing 1, which is connected rigidly or with limited strength to clamp 2 for attachment to wire (lightning protection cable, communication cable) 3, damper assembly. Housing 1 is completely or partially made of transparent materials, allowing to diagnose its serviceability, and to membrane 4 connected generator 6, operating on the principle of piezoelectric effect, capable of generating electric energy, converted into light energy.
EFFECT: damper is characterized by simplicity of its design, low cost of manufacturing technology and multi-resonance nature of vibration damping (more than two or three resonant frequency peaks of amplitude-frequency characteristic), and also has broader functional capabilities (diagnostics and monitoring of serviceability of separate elements and a damper in general, generation of electric power for illuminating the damper and surrounding objects).
