FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, in particular, to methods for fighting icicles on sloping roof cornice. The method includes a heating element fixed along the edge of the roof to form a closed circuit, connected to terminals to connect the electric current source, made in the form of a metal conductor bent via a certain pitch distance with formation of hanging loops. The metal conductor is made as zigzag-shaped from alternately soldered sections from heterogeneous conductors or semiconductors, forming a ring-shaped thermal battery, besides, inner junctions of the thermal battery are placed on the roof under snow, and external ones - outside the roof near its edge, at the same time a millivoltmeter is connected to the previously calibrated thermal battery for measurement of thermal electromotive force, and after registration with its help of the atmospheric air positive temperature transition via zero to the negative one, they send unidirectional electric current through this thermal battery from the current source in direction, providing for heating of external junctions and cooling of internal junctions of the thermal battery.

EFFECT: reduced operating costs of a roof.
