FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: anti-icing device comprises a heating element attached along the roof edge at its section or along the perimetre to form a closed circuit, connected at the ends to a source of an electric signal. The heating element is arranged in the form of a rigid insulated steel wire fixed directly along the roof edge and bent at a certain pitch distance in the form of narrow loops arranged with serial alternation in two planes with an angle between each other, equal to the angle between the roof and the wall of the building. Hinges in one plane are laid along the edge of the roof and are fixed on the latter by their ends, hinges in the other plane freely hang down from the roof edge in parallel to the building wall, and the pitch distance and lengths of hinges significantly exceed their width.

EFFECT: reduction of operational costs during roof cleaning from snow and ice.
