FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of anti-icing cornice for pitched roof. Anti-icing cornice of pitched roof is made of sheet heat-conducting material, which is fixed between roofing material and extreme board of lathing. Cornice consists of two plates: the upper plate is fixed with its edge along the edge of the roofing material, lower plate 4 with its part 5 is bent downwards at an angle α=10–30° from the vertical and is fixed with an indent from the edge of the roofing material, so that the vertical line drawn from the edge of the roofing material passes through the middle of bent part 5. On the upper part of upper plate 3 of one of the sides, strips of black film 6 from a hydrophobic material are attached, the other side freely hangs below bent part 5 of lower plate 4 and by its edge 7 is attached to the reverse side of bent part 5 of lower plate 4.
EFFECT: preventing formation of icicles and ice on the cornice.
