FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: technical solution relates to measurement equipment and is designed to measure dielectric permeability and moisture of material. The method includes measurement of probing signal voltage in an inlet circuit of a primary converter, filled with monitored material, besides, the primary converter is made in the form of a section of a long line shorted at the end. Measurements of voltage are carried out simultaneously in two points: directly at the inlet of the converter and on the resistor connected between the generator and the converter. The generator is tuned in the frequency range by discrete steps. At each step they calculate the ratio of voltage at the inlet of the primary converter to voltage at the inlet of the element, and by the minimum of this ratio they determine frequencies of harmonics during filling of the primary converter with air and during its filling with controlled material. By values of frequencies of several harmonics they calculate the actual component of the material refraction index. An idle component of the refraction index is calculated by the value of voltage ratio at the inlet of the primary converter to voltage at the inlet of the resistor. Further they determine moisture and other physical parameters that influence the refraction index.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurements and expansion of functional capabilities.
