FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves duplex scanning of cervical vessels and blood flow measurement. The scanning procedure is performed twice. The repeated scanning is performed during a load test in the form of individual's head retroflexion. If observing an increase in a maximum linear blood flow velocity in the head retroflexion position at the level of the abnormalities and below, jugular compression is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method enables increasing accuracy and information value of the examination ensured by using the load test making it possible to detect jugular compression, which cannot be detected by normal procedures.
