FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for oral cavity cleaning. Device for detection and removal of dental plaque is placed in oral cavity, where said device includes source of light radiation. Fluorescent agent, capable of binding with dental plaque, is applied on tooth surface. Surface is simultaneously cleaned and irradiated by light with wavelength, effective for provision of fluorescent radiation in case of interaction with fluorescent agent. Part of fluorescent radiation is collected within preliminarily specified first time period. Average value of dental plaque is determined on the basis of obtained data and compared with preliminarily determined value of dental plaque. Within pre-determined second time period tooth is simultaneously cleaned and irradiated. The range of distance between light source and surface is determined within pre-determined second time period, after which the range of distance is compared with pre-determined threshold distance. Simultaneous cleaning and irradiation of oral cavity surfaces is continued until all of set of oral cavity sections are cleaned.
EFFECT: due to reliable analysis of condition of dental plaque on oral cavity surface method makes it possible to remove dental plaque in placed of detection.
