FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. In the method and device for oral plaque detection, the oral cavity is pre-treated with a fluorescent agent able to bind to the plaque, and an emitter shines radiation for the surface contact. The reflected light and fluorescent radiation generated by the contact of the radiation and surface is collected by an optical collector and transmitted by an optical channel into a device, wherein the optical light signal of the reflected light and fluorescent radiation is transformed into an electric signal, and wherein the electric signals of the reflected light and fluorescent radiation are processed mathematically to determine a compensated value of plaque depending on a distance between the optical collector and oral surface treated with the fluorescent agent.
EFFECT: group of invention enables taking into account the distance between the source and optical sensors that provides determining the compensated value of plaque.
