FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: double-band whip antenna comprises a base with means for mounting on a mobile object and a plug-in dipole made from a section of a coaxial cable mounted thereon. The upper ends of the sheath and centre conductor of the dipole are open and the lower ends are galvanically coupled and connected to the centre conductor of a feeder. The galvanic coupling of the centre conductor of the section of coaxial cable and its sheath is realised through a current-conducting nut which adjoins, by its flat surface, the lower face of the section of coaxial cable, mounted on the base and supported by said nut. There is an insulating spacer between the base and the current-conducting nut.
EFFECT: high stability of input resistance of the short-circuited coaxial line when operating in both frequency bands and stability of matching the dipole with the feeder, high mechanical strength of the antenna, simple process of making and adjusting parameters of the plug-in dipole.
