FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of medical wastes, namely to systems for thereof sterilisation. System contains chamber 4 for processing medical wastes, engine 11a, located in chamber grinder 2 with blades, brought in rotation by engine 11a by means of shaft, projecting from case, which forms interface between chamber 4 and surrounding space. System also contains means for interface sealing, containing at least one high-speed sealing, vacuum pump for elimination of air pockets and steam generator, providing steam sterilisation of all wastes and lower pressure for sealing sharp objects, contained in medical wastes, in chamber 4. In accordance with other version of system implementation it additionally contains located under grinder perforated partition, in which, at least, one hole is made, and hole cleaner for separation of liquids from medical wastes. Versions of methods consist in the fact that versions of system described above are used for grinding medical wastes.

EFFECT: system and method for grinding medical wastes ensure increase of sterilisation efficiency due to replacement of air pockets with steam.
