SUBSTANCE: individual is examined to measure serum albumin, total cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein (HDL). The serum albumin level making at least 1.5 g/dl, and the total cholesterol level making at least 40 mg/dl, and/or the high-density lipoprotein level making at least 20 mg/dl require administering an emulsion. The emulsion contains (i) a phospholipid, (ii) a neutral lipid and (iii) a cholate salt.
EFFECT: invention provides treating sepsis in the individuals having the serum albumin levels exceeding minimum thresholds.
