SUBSTANCE: invention relates to operation of steam cycle with application of the device comprises the evaporator or steam generator to evaporate working fluid (A) and expander lubed by for execution of work. Proposed method comprises stages described below a) Working fluid (A) is fed to evaporator for it to be evaporated and fed as the steam to expander. b) Ionic fluid (B) is fed into the expander as a lubricant to make with working fluid (A) two liquid phase at the room temperature. c) Said ionic fluid is separated from the working fluid (A) upstream of evaporator.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of steam cycle operation.
