FIELD: cutting tools.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to material processing by cutting; it can be used for milling workpieces made of Inconel alloy. The end milling cutter is made of monolithic ceramic material, and it contains a shank and a cutting part. Each tooth of the cutting part of the milling cutter contains a curved front surface, a back surface and a cutting edge formed at the intersection of the front and back surfaces. The cutting edge contains an axial section of the edge located on the end cutting surface, a radial section of the edge located along the periphery of the cutting part, and an angular section of the edge extending from the axial section of the edge to the radial section of the edge and having a radius of rounding. The entire axial section of the edge has a positive axial front angle. The method for processing with the specified end milling cutter includes end milling of a workpiece made of Inconel alloy at a speed of more than 300 m/min until the specified positive front angle changes to a negative axial front angle.

EFFECT: durability of the milling cutter increases.
