SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing a globoid-cylindrical gear with a non-linear worm includes cutting rough turns on the steel body of the worm, followed by applying an antifriction material to the rough turns by surfacing, then additional finishing cutting of the worm turns is carried out, whereas rough and finish cutting of the worm turns is carried out by rotational turning by running with profiling according to the copying method with a disk multi-blade tool with an involute profile of cutting elements while simultaneously rotating the disk multi-blade tool along its own axis and vertically moving parallel to the axis of the worm workpiece circumference. A multi-blade tool is made on the basis of a conjugated cylindrical wheel, taken as the initial shaping link.
EFFECT: increased load capacity of the transmission.
