FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: for automated selection of heifers by type of higher nervous activity based on computer analysis of electroencephalogram, the heifers are moved from the common cage 1 for housing calves to 2 cages 9, 11 with different feeding rations, with the exit gates 8 of passage fixation machine 3 by the signal of control unit 5, which is generated as a result of analysis of the electroencephalogram data of each heifer in the user interface, and the groups are formed based on the predicted milk productivity, determined by the type of higher nervous activity. The invention also discloses the device of automated selection of heifers by type of higher nervous activity based on a computer analysis of electroencephalogram.

EFFECT: reduction of labour costs for veterinary measures, increase in the safety of zooveterinary personnel.
