FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: first hollow billet of initial sizes is subjected to rolling at the ring-rolling mill to get the billet of the first pass. ID of said billet is increased to OD of the billet of initial sizes. The second billet of the same initial sizes in fitted into the first-pass billet to be roller at said ring-rolling mill. The second-pass billet is thus made with its ID increased to OD of the billet of initial sizes. The, the cycle is reiterated. Straightening and/or annealing are performed between the passes.

EFFECT: fabrication of sandwiched hollow billets of high hardening.
