FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: polyharmonic acoustic signal is supplied into an individual's oral cavity via a mouthpiece. The mouthpiece is hermetically jointed to a wave guide end, the other end of which is equipped with a loudspeaker connected to a polyharmonic signal generator adjusting tone signal frequency spacing. Measurement microphones are mounted in two points of a side surface of the wave guide. A resonance frequency (f0) at which a reactive component of the complex impedance of the respiratory passage equals to zero is determined. Absorption (α0) and resistance (R0) coefficients at a resonant frequency are determined. The respiratory passage health (K) is assessed by specific formula. If K>3, a respiratory passage pathology is diagnosed.
EFFECT: diagnosing objectively, reducing diagnosing time and enhancing its comfort by diagnosing only with the use of the mouthpiece, assessing optimal parameters, as well as ensuring diagnostic frequency extension from 5 Hz to 100 Hz, and adjusting the spacing by using two microphones.
