FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: instrument consists of a wave-guide interferometer, one end of which is provided with a perforated panel and an open tube for pressure-tight coupling with an ear insert, whereas the other end has a loud speaker connected to an audio signal generator; two points of a side surface of the wave-guide interferometer bear measuring microphones connected to a calculator unit through an analogue-to-digital converter. The open tube is provided with a unit applicable for controlling its position in the external auditory canal and configured as an obstacle distance meter, whereas the calculator unit is provided with a distance display indicator.
EFFECT: using the invention ensures providing more effective measurement results of the acoustic impedance of the middle ear.
