FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to purging of fuel vapours in vehicles. Claimed process comprises modulation of fuel tank isolation valve and indication of simulation parameters deterioration proceeding from the pressure pulsations caused by said modulation. Modulation features an intermittent character and is performed in selected frequency while indication is based on pressure pulsation amplitude in selected frequency. In operation of fuel vapour entrainment system, during the first daily cycle of idle engine at pressure drop at the valve, the latter is modulated to indicate valve parameters deterioration caused by pressure pulsations. During the second daily cycle, leaks detection jobs are executed.
EFFECT: better fuel vapour purging, higher accuracy of leak detection.
