FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engine fuel supply systems. The boost pressure of turbocharger compressor 74 and/or vacuum from intake manifold 44 is sequentially applied to the internal combustion engine fuel tank 20 through fuel vapor reservoir 22. Leakage is detected based on the subsequent changes in fuel tank pressure.
EFFECT: invention allows to detect leakage in the fuel system.
