FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: image decoder comprises variable-length decoding module. This is done for decoding of data on the size of macro blocks and coding mode and for decoding of prediction parameters corresponding to coding mode, and on the data specifying the conversion block size selected from the set of possible versions. Internal prediction module shapes predicted image with the help of internal prediction mode and in-frame image decoding signal. Conversion module for reverse quantization process and reverse conversion for compressed data to generate prediction difference decoded signal. Module of summation of predicted image extracted from internal prediction module with decoded prediction difference decoded signal outputs decoded image signal. Conversion module defines the conversion block size and performed reverse quantization process and reverse conversion for compressed data in the unit of one block that features the aforesaid size of conversion block.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of decoding owing to adaptive switching between conversion units sizes.
