FIELD: computer equipment.
SUBSTANCE: device for decoding moving images for decoding a bit stream for extracting a moving image comprises: a prediction block with motion compensation, generating images of internal prediction of blocks based on two parts of encoding mode information indicating assignment of sub-block and reference image to a unit for processing internal prediction; and a variable-length decoding unit for entropic decoding of the bit stream, to obtain a binary string and to obtain two parts of coding mode information from the binary string, wherein the variable-length decoding unit decodes, from the bit stream for each of the blocks, two portions of the encoding mode information, the first identifier and the second identifier, and acquires coding mode information indicating sub-block assignment by variable-length decoding, in accordance with first identifier, and encoding mode information indicating the reference image by variable-length decoding, in accordance with the second identifier.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improved efficiency of coding.
