FIELD: computer equipment.
SUBSTANCE: moving image decoding device which decodes a bit stream generated by dividing the image of the moving image into a plurality of blocks and by compressing said blocks and obtaining a moving image, wherein the moving image decoding device comprises a motion compensation prediction module for generating an internal prediction image of one of said blocks by processing internal prediction with respect to the block; a conversion module for generating a decoded prediction difference signal by inverse transformation and inverse quantization with respect to compressed data of said block based on a compressed parameter indicating the size of the conversion unit for said block; summation module for generating a moving image by summing an internal prediction image with a decoded prediction difference signal and a variable length decoding unit for entropic decoding of the bit stream to obtain a binary string and obtain a compressed parameter from said binary string.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improved efficiency of coding.
