FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy, chemical industry, food industry, production of construction materials, etc, where cleaning of gases or air from dust is required. Claimed process feed of contaminated gas or air into bag filter case and into filter inside top section via contaminated gas or air pipeline. Note here that contaminated gas or air flow is forced to filter inside bottom section to filter horizontal bags for cleaning said gas or air by said horizontal bags. Then, cleaned air of gas is directed to clean gas or air chamber and removed from bag filter via clean air of gas pipeline. Filter horizontal bags are intermittently blown by clean compressed air or gas. Contaminated gas or air is directed into bag filter inside lower section to bags via screen for uniform distribution of contaminated gas or air over filter inside lower section. Screen mesh area makes at least 25 mm2. Total area of all screen meshes is calculated from the relationship: S2 = k1·S3, where k1 is proportionality factor varying from 27.00 to 45.00, while S3 is cross-section are of contaminated gas or air pipeline at bag filter inlet set to at least 20000 mm2. Horizontal bags are used up turbulence of contaminated gas or air flow. Cross-section of filter every bag is shaped to rhomb or similar geometry. Rhomb larger diagonal is vertical.

EFFECT: more uniform dust distribution, efficient dust removal, longer life of bags.
