FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: echo sounder antenna system, which includes a hydroacoustic antenna, which is flat, axially symmetrical, sealed and placed in a cylindrical housing filled with a liquid, joined to the inner surface of the steel bottom of a surface ship by welding, the cylindrical housing being mounted on the steel bottom of the surface ship without violating the integrity of the bottom, such that the portion of the steel bottom of the surface ship covered by the cylindrical housing forms its end surface. The hydroacoustic antenna is attached to the end cover of the cylindrical housing on the side opposite to the portion the steel bottom of the surface ship covered by the cylindrical housing, is hermetically connected to its lateral surface and has acoustic contact with the end surface of the cylindrical housing, wherein the operating frequency f of the hydroacoustic antenna f=bf0, where f0=mCct/2h, m is an integer, Cst is the speed of sound in the steel bottom of the surface ship, h is the thickness thereof, b is a coefficient which takes into account the effect of the acoustic contact, wherein 1≤b≤1.5.
EFFECT: maintaining integrity of the steel housing of the surface ship and operational reliability thereof.
